Budget Friendly Places in U.A.E

budget friendly places in UAE-the girl abroad

United Arab Emirates is a huge magnet that drives in a large amount of tourist around the year. Although United Arab Emirates is a small country with only 7 emirates, each of the emirates are very different from one another. When visiting UAE, apart from the regular tourist destinations, there are some not so popular yet budget friendly places to visit.

Abu Dhabi is the country’s capital and is a well planned city. You can never find traffic jams on the roads of Abu Dhabi because of the well thought infrastructure of the city. Dubai is one of the world’s most exciting cities. The tallest building, the best 7 star hotel, the parks, the malls, all of them makes Dubai a special place for everyone to visit. There are a majority of population who refers to United Arab Emirates, simply as Dubai. That is how amazing the city of Dubai is. Sharjah is the cultural capital of the country and there are many places which tells all about the history of the country. The rest of the emirates excites the tourists with their farms and mountain ranges.

There are quite a lot of places to visit in the United Arab Emirates which I am sure are common and most of the tourists who visit U.A.E would have seen them. A picture at Dubai Mall, a ride on the sand dunes, ‘at the top’ of Burj Khalifa, a metro ride, a visit to Atlantis, these are few of the things someone who comes to visit the country do. I have put together a list of some budget friendly places to go when visiting U.A.E.

  • Bab al Shams desert resort and spa

It is a resort in Dubai which is not like any other because it is surrounded by desert on all its sides. It has a natural desert landscape and thus provides a traditional desert experience. Bab al Shams is an Arabic word which means gateway to the sun. Although, amidst desert, it is within easy reach from the city of Dubai.

  • Wasit wet land

Wasit wet land

It is a place in Sharjah which has extensive dunes, lagoons and fresh water pools. A ticket of rate AED 15 takes us for a cart ride on the wet land where we can find deers in their natural habitat. There is also a bird sanctuary which has over 60 species of resident and migratory birds. With multiple hides located around the site, it enables us to view the birds and also gives us detailed information and activities of them.

  • Al Qudra Lake

It is an artificial lake situated on the outskirts of Dubai. We can find  swans and ducks in the lake. It is a great place for camping with friends or family. A camping night with barbecue and a perfect view of sunrise is totally worth it.

  • Al Mamzar park

I am sure the park itself is quite popular because of its location and the beach. However, many of us might not know that there are chalets available in the park which we can rent for a day. The rates of the chalets  are AED 150 for 8 people and AED 200 for 12 people. You can book the chalets online on the basis of availability. Since it is a bit hard to get a booking, I would suggest booking them well in advance.

  • Sharjah Heritage museum

It is a must go place for all museum lovers. The heart of Sharjah (Al Rolla) is the location of the museums. They are built with the original structure of the ancient forts. They provide you with all the information about the heritage, culture and traditions of United Arab Emirates. It has an entry fee of AED 5 for children below 12 and AED 10 for adults.

  • Al Rawabi Farm

It is a dairy farm in Dubai. They provide a free visit to their farm based on online booking every Saturday. You can visit the farm in Al Khawaneej, Dubai. Once we reach the gates of the farm, they take us in one of their buses to show us all their cows. Then to the factory where they show us the processing of milk, pasteurizing and bottling. They also provide us with lots of their samples.

  • Liwa

A place on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi. Moreeb dune at Liwa is the tallest dune in the U.A.E and the largest hill climbs in the world. Once we reach the top, we can view beautiful sunsets and sunrises with sand music. It provides us with an experience of desert drive with our own cars. They have roads through the desert which ends up at a destination for desert carting.

Try out all these budget friendly places either if you are staying in U.A.E or planning for a visit to U.A.E. They are amazing just the way all the popular places are.
